Hi! My name is Lurline.

Lurline Ortiz is a talented artist based in Benicia, California, with a passion for creating stunning illustrations that blend fantasy, science fiction, adventure, and whimsy. She is a graduate of the BFA program in Art with a concentration in Illustration. Her multi-faceted artistic interests are reflected in her work, which draws inspiration from a diverse range of sources, including Japanese culture, video games, pop-culture, and graphic design. Combining traditional media like graphite and ink with digital techniques, Lurline's illustrations have a distinctive style that reflects her personality and artistic preferences.

She also has a deep appreciation for the beauty of more traditional artistic styles, such as Art Nouveau, Romanticism, and Impressionism, which informs her approach to every project. Whether you're looking for a unique, eye-catching illustration for your book cover, website, or promotional materials, Lurline's creative vision and technical skills are sure to exceed your expectations.

Customer Testimonials

"In summer 2020, Hope House of South Central Wisconsin sought to update our brand identity to reflect the vital services we provide to victims of domestic and sexual violence. Volunteering through Catchafire, Ben Seigel and Lurline Ortiz asked smart questions, presented several design and color options, and ultimately created a lovely brand which we have used on everything from our website to thank you notes and apparel. I enthusiastically recommend Ben and Lurline's work."
